For Lynn Cheng, who requested a flower for NYSL Investiture. Sorry dear, was unable to get a new flower painted soon enough. Although this is old work I dedicate this painting to YOU!
Reference picture used. It’s from a book about watercolouring technique. I will add in the credits when I find the book in the [...]

February 22, 2008010: DESIGN #4 – Generation NY
February 22, 2008This is my take on Generation NY header. When I was doing this, I kept thinking of that song: 南洋永发光.
So now it really is 发光 now.
I am really interested in vector art recently, but sadly I do not possess the necessary program nor the skill to do vector, so everything you see up [...]
008: The Sky’s Memory
February 17, 2008Taken on 24 January 2007, 2 minutes after morning assembly from my spot in the quadrangle.
It’s not everyday that you get this kind of sky in Singapore. I don’t usually carry my phone with me, but on that particular day, I did. Got lucky, I suppose. This image is not altered or [...]
007: Course-work Progress #3
February 7, 2008More babies… Will be drawing a lot more happy stuff for the moment.
I didn’t bother to draw out her dad’s hand. The focus is on the baby anyway.
Baby Doc! I thought this was cute. My friends say that this is the best work in the entire sketchbook so far, but after this piece I can’t [...]
006: Course-work Progress #2
February 6, 2008This is my first attempt at drawing using pen.
For the first baby I still had to do the outline using pencil, but the all the others are done 100% using my good old ball point pen.

005: DESIGN #3 – Paper bag
February 6, 2008NOTE: The Asian Civilisation Museum did not use this design (duh!) I’m just making a paper bag design for fun. Though the outcome is no fun at all. The idea behind the design is 出土文物, so you see all the cracked mud and that funny cup thing in the middle of a black hole.
004: DESIGN #2 – Poster
February 6, 2008This is for TheatreSports competition held in Macau last September. Each team is must have a poster to “sell” their team to the audience. Our team’s theme is “fairytale”. There’s eight of us, so we each have a fairy tale character to represent us. I’m one of the three little pigs.
If anybody’s wondering [...]
003: DESIGN #1 – GRACES camp logo
February 6, 2008This is one of those cliché GRACES camp logos. It seems as though year after year the camp T-shirt features a ballerina. When I was in sec 2, I told myself I will NOT design something like that. I’ll make my design unique. Yet when it’s time I end up drawing a ballerina. HAHA.
